The lateral thrust rod is a torsion bar spring made of spring steel, which is in the shape of a "U" and is placed horizontally on the front wall and rear wall of the car. In the middle of the thrust rod body, the sleeve is hinged with the frame, and the two ends of the thrust rod are respectively fixed on the left and right suspensions. Only when the body moves vertically, the suspension deformation on both sides is the same, and the lateral thrust rod will not work.
When the body rolls, the suspension on both sides will be inconsistent, and the horizontal thrust rod will be twisted. The elastic force of the rod body becomes the resistance to continue to make the car roll, and finally plays a role in lateral stability.
