What Are The Functions Of The Engine Lubrication System

(1) Lubrication
When the engine is running, a certain oil film is kept in the middle of the relative moving parts and stored between the surfaces, so that there is no direct friction between the components, thus reducing the friction coefficient, reducing the friction loss and reducing the surface wear of the moving parts, improving the effective power of the engine, and ensuring the service life of the parts.
(2) Cooling action
When the engine is working, it generates a large amount of heat, which transforms kinetic energy and does work. Excess heat after work must be dissipated in time. The lubricating oil takes away the heat in some parts of the machine to keep the temperature of the working part from being too high.
(3) Cleaning action
When the engine is working, the lubricating oil can take away the dirt accumulated on the parts and the tiny particles generated by friction, so as to keep the parts clean and reduce the friction loss.
(4) Sealing action
The lubricating oil can close the gap between the piston and the cylinder. The oil film formed by lubricating oil can increase the sealing degree to prevent gas flowing, and make up for small gaps to prevent noise.
