In equipment with a rotating shaft, the shaft is generally supported by bearings for rotation, and the bearings are installed in a bearing box filled with lubricating oil. During the working process, the bearings are used to be lubricated. At the same time, various forces received by the shaft during work will also be transmitted to the bearing box and carried by the bearing box. The material of the bearing housing is generally cast iron and cast steel. Mostly used for wheel sets.
Classification:
Bearing boxes can be divided into 4 types, including standard type, adjustable type, flange type and large opening type
Standard: Several techniques for mounting with snap rings and mounting plates. It is necessary to avoid deformation of the bearing housing caused by the set screw
Adjustable type: also known as small opening type, the bearing is perpendicular to the opening of the bearing box.
Flange type: install the linear bearing, and the accuracy of the inner hole of the related bearing box needs to be accurate
Large opening type: If there is a suitable bearing seat fit, the opening type can be enlarged to adjust the clearance and even reduce the preload.
Installation precautions: When installing the linear bearing into the bearing seat, use auxiliary tools to avoid directly hitting the end face or the sealing ring. The bearing should be evenly introduced, and the buffer plate should be used to install it by gently tapping.
