The cylinder head is made of cast iron or aluminum alloy. It is the installation base of the valve mechanism and the sealing cover of the cylinder. The cylinder and the top of the piston form the combustion chamber. Many have adopted a structure in which the camshaft support seat and the tappet guide hole seat and the cylinder head are cast as one.
The damage phenomenon of the cylinder head is mostly warping deformation of the sealing plane between the cylinder head and the cylinder hole (destroying the seal), cracks in the seat holes of the intake and exhaust valves, and damage to the spark plug installation thread. Especially the cylinder head made of aluminum alloy, because of its low material hardness and relatively poor strength, it is relatively easy to deform and damage, so the consumption is more than that of cast iron.
The cylinder head of the water-cooled engine has three structural forms: integral type, block type and single type. In a multi-cylinder engine, if all cylinders share one cylinder head, the cylinder head is called an integral cylinder head; The cylinder head is a single cylinder head. Air-cooled engines are all single-piece cylinder heads.

Precautions:
1. The cylinder head bolts should be tightened evenly, and the oil supply time should be adjusted correctly.
2. Soft water should be added to the water tank, and the water should be changed as little as possible.
3. The diesel engine should avoid working under overload for a long time.
4. When the engine is working and the water tank occasionally lacks water, do not turn off the engine immediately, but add water slowly at a low speed. Do not add cold water after the engine is hot, and wait for the water temperature to be below 40°C after parking before releasing the water. In the cold winter season, you cannot add boiling water immediately, but you should heat the water first and then add boiling water.
5. When assembling, check whether the cooling water holes are unblocked. Regularly clean the cooling system with alkaline solution to remove scale and oil in time.
The cylinder is an important part of the diesel engine, and the wear of the cylinder should be minimized to help improve the performance and service life of the diesel engine.
