Engine Valve Structure

Dec 22, 2022

The valve is the valve used by the cylinder for intake and exhaust, that is, the intake valve and exhaust valve.
Traditional engines usually have one inlet valve and one exhaust valve per cylinder. This two valve valve mechanism is relatively simple and has low manufacturing cost. For ordinary engines with low output power requirements, they can obtain more satisfactory engine output power and torque performance.
The engine with large displacement and power shall adopt the multi valve technology. The simplest multi valve technology is the three valve structure, that is, one inlet valve is added to the two valve structure of one inlet and one row.
In a four valve valve train, each cylinder has two inlet valves and two exhaust valves. The four valve structure can greatly improve the intake and exhaust efficiency of the engine. Most new cars use the four valve technology.
